Piece Details
From a jungle walk near Kota Marudu where an old Rungus couple are coming out of the misty morning jungle, walking along a fallen jungle tree trunk laden with jungle produce and food, bamboo (used for local building) and a long grass weave. The early morning sunlight streams through the jungle mist. The hunting dogs (mongrels) in the painting are common in Borneo, their job is sniffing out what may lie ahead on the jungle path or in this case the fallen tree.
